Terms of Use
Last updated: August 15, 2026 (draft)
These terms govern your use of Free Pool Design at freepooldesign.com. By using the site or the design tool, you agree to them.
The service
Free Pool Design is a free, browser-based planning tool for pools and backyards, plus an optional service that connects you with local pool builders when you ask for quotes. The tool is provided free of charge and without an account.
Your designs are yours
You own the plans you create. Designs autosave to your own browser; when you submit a form that includes a design (emailing yourself a plan, or requesting quotes), you give us permission to store and process that copy to provide the service — including sharing it with builders when, and only when, you request quotes.
The quote-matching service
- Submitting a quote request authorizes us to share your contact information, project details, and design with pool builders serving your area, as described in the consent language on the form and our Privacy Policy.
- Builders are independent businesses. We are not a party to any agreement you make with a builder, we do not guarantee that any builder will contact you, and we are not responsible for their work, pricing, licensing, or conduct.
- We may be paid by builders for referrals. This never changes your price and never obligates you to hire anyone.
Planning tool, not construction documents
Plans made with Free Pool Design are for layout and feasibility. They are not engineering drawings, permit documents, or professional advice. Setback rules, pool barrier codes, utility easements, and site conditions vary — verify them with your builder and local authorities before building anything.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse the service: no unlawful use, no scraping or reselling of the service, no submitting other people's personal information without their permission, and no interfering with the site's operation.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Free Pool Design will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed $50.
Changes
We may update the service and these terms; material changes will be noted on this page with a new date above. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
